BSPCA ANIMAL SHELTER WEBSITE DESIGN

This project involved designing and developing a website for BSPCA (Bahrain Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), a local animal shelter in Bahrain. The website was created to provide an online platform where the shelter can showcase animals available for adoption, share information, and connect with the community.

It includes key pages such as Home, About (with subpages), Animals for Adoption, Services, News, and Contact.

THE goal &
Objectives

The main goal was to create a meaningful and functional website that supports the shelter’s mission and increases its visibility.

The objective was to design a user friendly platform where visitors can easily browse animals, learn about the shelter, and find ways to adopt or support.

THE STORY

The website represents a digital extension of the shelter, giving each animal a chance to be seen and find a home. It tells the story of care, protection, and community support by showcasing the shelter’s work and the animals they look after.

By organizing content into clear sections, the website allows users to explore the shelter’s mission, discover animals, and stay updated, creating a meaningful connection between the shelter and the public.

OUR APPROACH

The website was developed using Visual Studio Code, applying HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build a structured and interactive experience.

The design focused on simplicity, clarity, and accessibility, ensuring users can easily navigate and find information. Images were sourced from royalty free platforms or provided content, and icons were integrated using flat icon libraries.

Color palettes were selected using Adobe Color to create a friendly and approachable feel, while visual elements were designed or refined using Adobe Illustrator. The layout emphasized showcasing animals clearly to support adoption.
