ESCAPE LEO 3D GAME VISUALIZATION

Escape Leo is a 3D game visualization project developed as part of a university assignment, focusing on creating an interactive game concept using 3D modeling and storytelling. The project explores the design of a game environment, character concept, and gameplay experience, combining both creative ideation and technical execution.

The game centers around a cat named Leo navigating a house environment, where the player must complete tasks and solve challenges to escape.

THE goal &
objective

The main goal was to design a visually engaging and interactive 3D game concept.

The objective was to develop a clear game idea, including character design, environment modeling, and level planning, while applying 3D modeling techniques and storytelling principles.

THE STORY

The game follows Leo, a curious cat who enters a house after being attracted by the smell of food. Once inside, the door suddenly locks, trapping him in an unfamiliar environment.

The player must guide Leo through the house, exploring different areas such as the living room, kitchen, and bedroom, while searching for keys needed to escape. Each space presents small challenges and interactions, creating a sense of progression and engagement.

The story combines light humor with adventure, turning a simple situation into an interactive journey where the player experiences exploration, problem-solving, and discovery.

OUR APPROACH

The project followed a structured design process, starting with research and analysis of existing games to understand gameplay mechanics, environments, and visual styles. This was followed by idea generation, including brainstorming, mind mapping, and moodboards to define the game concept and visual direction.

The design phase included developing the game logo, character concept, and level layouts, such as the house environment and its different areas. Pre-visualization techniques like storyboarding were used to plan gameplay flow, interactions, and scenes.

The 3D modeling focused on creating the environment and assets using tools like Blender, while maintaining a simple and visually appealing style. Attention was given to layout, composition, and usability to ensure the game experience is clear and engaging.

the outcome

The final result presents a complete 3D game concept, including environment design, storytelling, and gameplay structure. The project demonstrates strong skills in 3D modeling, creative thinking, and game design planning.
