Objective
The main goal was to create a visually engaging reel that highlights the role of volunteers and their impact on the success of the event.
The objective was to present both the people and the environment in a way that reflects the energy, organization, and collaborative spirit of the VEX Carnival, while making the content suitable for social media.
THE STORY
The reel tells the story of the event through the perspective of the volunteers, capturing their preparation, interactions, and involvement throughout the carnival. It presents a sequence of moments that reflect their teamwork and presence within the event, while also showcasing the lively atmosphere around them. The combination of people-focused shots and environmental visuals creates a balanced narrative that highlights both the individuals and the experience as a whole.
OUR APPROACH
The project was approached by focusing on capturing candid and dynamic footage of volunteers during the event, including interactions, movement, and behind the scenes moments. A mix of close ups and wide shots was used to represent both the individuals and the overall setting. During editing, emphasis was placed on pacing, transitions, and rhythm to create a cohesive and engaging reel. The final video was optimized for social media, ensuring it is visually appealing, concise, and impactful.
